Fasting and Praying

Join us for fasting and prayer January 10-30. However the Lord leads we'd love you to join us. There is churches all over the nation joining with us to pray for a move of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the body of Christ. Pray for a genuine move of the Holy Spirit in our midst that will empower us to express the fullness of Christ to the region.
Our cooperate times of prayer will be as follows. Sundays @ 9AM, Mondays @ 7PM, Wednesdays @ 6:30PM. We will meet in the sanctuary for a time of soaking and intercession.
Come draw near to God with us! Come Holy Spirit!

Healing School Services

Good News! The Healing School evening service is open to all for free at 7 PM. It's at Heartland Assembly in Ankeny. Tonight through Saturday at 7 PM. Doors open at 6. It will be great stuff so if you can come!

Also don't forget on the 28th we will have Your Ministry Matters at LWF. We will have an evening service that night. So plan to be there. It's an important time for LWF and the 28th will have be a turning point for us if we engage and participate in what God is doing.

Missions emphasis this weekend and Paulina's Farewell!

Langs will be with us Sunday at 9 AM and 10 AM. Can't wait to hear what God is doing in their ministry. We will be establishing our missions budget based on what you feel led to give in Faith Promises. We will collect those this Sunday. So be praying about what Father would have you do. Remember our money is the key to getting real riches. I want the Heavenly riches! So do you if you're His kid! So I can't wait to see what we decide to give. I think we could be at the $600 a month if we all hear the Lord and obey. Real exciting times at LWF.

Also we will be honoring Paulina this Sunday. We will have a luncheon after church. It's really neat that it worked out on Missions Emphasis weekend. We will sent her back in His love and power to Tanzania. Bring a card or a note of kindness to give to Paulina.

Hey can't wait to see you this weekend. God will be realeasing His fire so you don't want to miss it. Remember be asking God for the grace of hunger. He will give it.

New Year's letter

Dear LWF family,

Happy New Year! I hope you had a great Christmas celebration. Mine has been fun and I am ready to getting focused again on the Kingdom of God. I wanted to discuss a few things we’ve been talking about at church that we are doing this month.
1) We’re about to start our first ever 21 day January fast. We will start on Monday the 5th and end after church the 25th with a potluck. I hope to make it a tradition in our church to begin the year with consecration. It can be a great time of focus and ministry unto the Lord. I know it can feel like legalism but I want to make sure we fight that. Please participate however you feel the Lord lead you in this time of renewed intimacy and seclusion with God. The church will be open every morning from 6-7am Monday-Friday. We will have corporate Prayer every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30. It will be a focused time of intercession and will build God’s Kingdom. I will have fasting kits available this Sunday to assist you in effective fasting.
2) School of His presence will be starting this Sunday. It will be a 4-week course on how to experience the Lord’s presence. It will be a great help during our fast. One of the main joys of being a Child of God is that we get to experience God’s presence. It will be for all age groups so bring your family and be ready to dive into His presence. After that we will do different schools for a few weeks. We will have a school of the Prophetic, School of Evangelism, and etc. Hopefully this will be a great time of preparation for us.
3) We will have our Annual Business Meeting Sunday January 25 after the morning service. We will be voting on new bylaws. I will have the new bylaws available to be looked at before the meeting. We are just updating them since our present ones are decades old and are out of date. It’s not the most exciting but necessary to facilitate being a fellowship. We have to have most of you there to vote on the bylaws.
It is and exciting time at LWF. We have had neatv things happen over the last year. Let’s thank the Lord for healing bodies, giving us more revelation of what He wants for us, and releasing His presence in our midst. Praise the Lord! More of God’s goodness is coming! I look forward to your partnership over the next year.

Kids Christmas Music Program. Sunday Dec. 21st 10 AM service.
All Church Christmas Party. Sunday Dec 21st at 4 PM. We will go to SMC Long Term Care and sing Christmas Carols and then return to the Church for your favorite Christmas snacks. Fun!!!
No Wednesday night Activities until January 6, 2009.

If you haven’t met Greg Kinzle yet, chances are you will meet him.
Kinzle is a new pastor in Nevada, and he likes to be out in the community, meeting people and taking in all that Nevada has to offer. This past weekend, he and his family were excited to take in all of the Lincoln Highway Days events.
“People have been friendly,” Kinzle said of Nevada.
Kinzle took over for Tom Poppe, the former pastor of Nevada’s Assembly of God church. When Kinzle came into his present pastoral role, however, it was at the same time that the church a change in its name. The church is now called Living Water Fellowship.
New pastor, new name for the church … it all seems a little bit overwhelming, but Kinzle said the change of name when he arrived was more about timing. “The (church) board was ready to change the name of the church, so that the name would more accurately reflect what we perceive as our purpose. We also felt a name change would be healthy at this time, since the church’s leadership was also changing.”
Kinzle said Living Water Fellowship was chosen as the church name based on the scripture: John 7:38: “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
Kinzle hopes to see the Living Water Fellowship become a portal for God’s Kingdom to expand in central Iowa. “Jesus preached and taught the Kingdom of Heaven is near. While preaching that message, He healed the sick, delivered the oppressed and spoke forgiveness and freedom to people. My goal is that the Kingdom of Heaven will manifest itself in a greater way in the Nevada area.”
Kinzle said that already, people are starting to be touched by God and freed from their physical pain. “We know there will be more. Not because we have the answers, but because we believe Jesus is the answer. As people are deeply touched by God, they will be equipped to go and touch others in Jesus’ name. It will have such a great impact on our community.”
Kinzle was raised in Kearney, Mo., a small town about 20 miles north of Kansas City. He attended kindergarten there and worked his way up through high school graduation.
When he entered college at SMSU, which is now Missouri State, he became involved in a campus ministry called Chi Alpha, and said his life was changed by encountering Jesus Christ through this campus ministry. “A few years after graduation from college, I became a campus minister so I could help others the same way this ministry helped me.”
In 1997, he moved to Ames to serve as the Chi Alpha Ministries director at Iowa State. He was there through 2005. “After considering a move to another university, I decided to take a sabbatical from the ministry for a period of time. I have spent the last three years working in different jobs while prayerfully considering a return to vocational ministry.”
Kinzle said he was familiar with the Nevada Assembly of God church, because he had ministered there, and he knew the former pastor. “The day I sent my resume, my excitement started to build. As my wife and I prayed and discussed the opportunity, we became more confident that Nevada was where the Lord was leading us.”
The church’s board invited Kinzle to candidate, and he later received a 100 percent vote of the membership.
Among the visions that Kinzle sees for the Living Water fellowship are the following:
· A church with a bright future and a destiny that God has carved out for it. Our destiny is more than waiting for Christ’s return. We get to release His kingdom.
· A church with a humble heart that invites the present of God and draws people to join us in our pursuit.
· A church that imparts to others what we received from God. We reproduce ourselves in other people and ministries, making disciples of all nations.
Kinzle and his wife, Tess, have three children: Sydnie, who will turn 12 next Tuesday; Jace, 4; and Emerie, 6 weeks. Kinzle looks forward to raising his children in Nevada. “Nevada has a rich history and a lot of community spirit. It seems like people are happy to be here. Nevada has good restaurants and a movie theatre. I love having a main street. People seem to walk, bike and get out a lot. Everybody isn’t the same in the town, so it feels authentic.”

Last Night's Prayer

We had prayer last night at church. God showed up God gave 3 pictures (vision) of things. 2 of them involved exploding light. Awesome huh? I am so thankful that God reveals things to us if we allow Him too. God will explode His goodness and power over us! He is so awesome!

Praying, moving, blogging

Man, I have been busy. I'm not sure anyone has missed me blogging. Probably not. I have been so busy getting the parsonage ready and moving I have no opportunity to blog. I don't know what I'm doing. If you know of any blogging educational sites to teach me send it to me at gkinzle@yahoo.com so I can learn more.

My first Sunday as Pastor was 3 months from this coming Sunday. I will be officially installed this Sunday by Tom Jacobs, the Iowa Ministry Network superintendent We've been having fun. I think they are getting used to me. We've been having awesome times in God's presence. Especially when a few of us pray. We have just started 40 days of Prayer with Fasting starting April 1 and going to Pentecost Sunday May 11. We've been praying for an increase in the power and presence of God. We will see it. We've been having awesome times in His presence. Some have never prayed like this before. So awesome. I get to show others how to pray passionately. Really Fun.

We're still praying for the sick weekly. Seen some healings but always wanting more. I will not be satisfied until I see Jesus + some power in ministry.
